The Voice Lab - Speech Therapy in Toronto

Welcome to The Voice Lab, a private Speech-Language Pathology practice. Our highly experienced therapists focus on the assessment and treatment of preschool, school-aged, and adults dealing with communication disorders, including: speech, language, voice, articulation and accent reduction.

•Speech and Language Therapy
At the age of one, your child speaks at least two words with meaning.  At two years, they begin to put two to three words together.  Generally, speech delays or disorders become apparent around the age of one and a half years or later, because that is when the child starts talking in phrases even sentences.  As your child grows, you accept certain sequential development in language skills.  If your child has NOT developed these speech or language skills during that period of time, then intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.

•Accent Reduction
Linguistic and multicultural diversity in Canada is on a steady climb.  More than half of the roughly 6 million people living in the Greater Toronto Area speak a language other than English.
These numbers continue to rise and can create challenges for communication in the workplace as well as in social settings.  The Voice Lab Accent Reduction Program will give you the ability to put forward a clear, succinct message giving you the needed edge facing the most competitive environment in history.
Even if you are professionally adept, your career will benefit from a more standard North American English fluency.

•Voice Therapy
A voice disorder is often the result of a chronic pattern of vocal behavior that deteriorates voice quality, strength and vigor.  These complex pathologies require voice habilitation by a Vocologist.  Here at THE VOICE LAB, professional Speech-Language Pathologists and Vocologists  help you habilitate your voice back to normal or strengthen and polish your voice for speaking and presentation skills.
